Biloxi, Miss. (WLOX) — On Tuesday, June 3, residents of South Mississippi will cast their votes in the Municipal General Election for various coastal cities.

The ballots will feature candidates for mayor, alderman, and councilman positions.

Here’s all the information you should know for voting on Election Day.

Are you registered? If you haven't registered to vote yet, the registration deadline has already gone by, which means you can't participate in casting your ballot for this election. Click HERE To check if you're registered to vote in Mississippi.

Polls The polls will open on Tuesday, June 3 at 7 a.m. and will close at 7 p.m. Voters who are in line by 7 p.m. have the right to vote.

Where do you vote? If you're uncertain about where to vote, input your residential address into the Polling Place Locator provided. HERE. Ensure you enter your address gradually. After beginning to input it, a suggested address will appear automatically. Select that option.

Voter Photo ID: Voters must present a photo ID when they arrive at the polling station. If a voter does not have a valid photo ID, they can still submit their vote using an affidavit ballot. To learn more, please click. HERE.

Who’s on the ballot? Several mayoral positions remain contested in various towns such as Biloxi, Gautier, Gulfport, Moss Point, and Wiggins. Additionally, voters will encounter councilman and alderman contests on their ballots throughout coastal areas.

Campaigning It is illegal to promote candidates within 150 feet from any entry point at a voting location, except when you're on privately owned land.

Loitering The voting sites must have a clear zone extending 30 feet from each entry point, free of individuals apart from election staff, voters awaiting their turn to cast a ballot, or designated poll observers.

Clothing When you head to the polls to cast your ballot, exercise caution regarding your attire. In Mississippi, it’s prohibited to wear T-shirts, pins, or stickers featuring images or names of political candidates within a radius of 150 feet from the voting area.
