How to Conquer Libra: Nightreign’s Mind-Bending Boss Battle
In Elden Ring Nightreign, you'll encounter numerous tough bosses. On Day Three, you will battle the Nightlord, which marks your ultimate test. It’s advisable to have spent the initial two days gearing up for this final confrontation.
During one of the quests, your objective is to confront the Equilibrious Beast known as Libra, the Creature of Night. This goat-like adversary can prove to be quite a challenging boss; however, there is a reliable tactic you can employ to prevent it from executing one of its strongest moves.
Preparation
For this Nightlord, Ensure at least one individual takes on the role of the ranged character, Ironeye. This is crucial to prevent Libra from using its strongest move. Having two Iron Eye characters would be advantageous if you're open to doing so. Preferably, The third character should utilize Wylder For its strong attacks, particularly its Ultimate move.
Libra utilizes the Madness element, yet it is also vulnerable to it. Sadly, weaponry and gear that cause Madness are difficult to obtain during expeditions. Nevertheless, should you happen upon such items, be sure to secure them for use in this fight.
Libra is vulnerable to fire and holy type assaults as well. So, if you notice any camps or buildings marked with those elemental symbols on your map, be sure to head over to them, defeat the boss, and possibly acquire an associated elemental weapon.
Strategies for fighting Libra
In the whole battle, Libra remains in a single phase. However, there’s one specific attack you should be aware of that we will discuss towards the conclusion.
First, Make sure to remain near Libra so that it only uses its staff against you. If you're at a distance, it will attempt to assault you using its madness-causing spells, such as casting a spell beneath you that causes an explosive reaction. Dodging these attacks isn't particularly challenging; staying out of the way during their execution should suffice. Additionally, watch out for another move where it releases a wide beam of madness energy directly towards you. As long as you avoid being squarely in front of Libra, this maneuver is quite simple to evade. Therefore, always consider your position carefully.
Whenever Libra employs magic, crystals are dispersed across the map. Collide with these crystals to lower your Madness level while simultaneously boosting your Madness resilience.
Libra will generate yellow clouds that shower Madness. Steer clear of these clouds.
Once Libra begins meditation and envelops itself in a bubble, trouble ensues. This represents its deadliest move. Following the formation of three sigils around it and the completion of this maneuver, Libra will acquire an enhanced defensive boost—a situation you definitely wouldn’t wish upon yourself.
You can take down the three sigils using ranged attacks from characters such as Ironeye. This completely interrupts Libra's meditation. Nonetheless, there is an even more effective way to thwart the assault.
Rather than targeting the sigils, instruct a member of your squad to unleash their Ultimate Art on Libra while it is in meditation mode. This action will instantly halt the assault and make the three symbols vanish. In response, Libra will likely become enraged and wildly swing its staff; however, this is more favorable than allowing it to gain an increased defensive capability.
Ensure that both of your other team members have their ultimate abilities ready in case Libra attempts this attack once more. Take turns using your group's three ultimate skills to counter the meditation attack, making certain that Libra won’t receive the defensive bonus from it. Ultimately, it should succumb.
