Alex Jensen Joins the Runnin' Utes Basketball Staff as Latest Addition

Alex Jensen, who is entering his first year as head coach, has appointed Victoria Sun to serve as the director of operations for the Utah men’s basketball team.

After spending six years with IMG Academy, Sun has joined the Runnin' Utes coaching staff. At IMG Academy, located in Bradenton, Florida, she worked as the business manager for the basketball program.

I'm delighted to welcome someone with Victoria’s exceptional background to our team," Jensen stated in a press release. "Her entire life has revolved around basketball, achieving everything at a prize-worthy standard. It's wonderful to have Vic become part of our Runnin' Utes coaching staff.

Prior to joining basketball operations, Sun worked as a sportswriter from 1997 to 2011. Her articles were featured in publications such as the Associated Press, USA Today, Los Angeles Times, Riverside Press-Enterprise, Cincinnati Post, and Las Vegas Sun.

In 2011, Sun ventured into the realm of sports operations at Eastern Michigan University, dedicating three years to her tenure with the Eagles. Following this period, she assumed the position of special assistant to the head coach at Florida State for the duration of 2014–2015. Afterward, she worked for a year as the director of operations at CSUN. Finally, in 2019, she made her way to IMG Academy.

This is an incredibly thrilling period for the Utah basketball program," Sun stated. "It's a privilege for me to become part of the team and contribute to this fresh phase in the program’s legacy.
