Ethan Waugh: From Jaguars to 49ers - A Return to the Bay Area
Former Jacksonville Jaguars assistant general manager Ethan Waugh has returned to the San Francisco 49ers , per ESPN's Adam Schefter.
According to a Tweet posted by Schefter on Twitter , Waugh has returned to the 49ers' front office as a personnel executive. Before his tenure as Jacksonville’s assistant general manager in 2021, he had been associated with San Francisco for 18 years.
Waugh was enlisted by the previous general manager. Trent Baalke , who he collaborated with during his time with the 49ers. Waugh spent three years in Jacksonville serving as the second-in-command in the personnel department.
He remained employed following the the team separated from Trent Baalke Earlier during this off-season and even went as far as interviewing for the open general manager role.
The Jaguars hired James Gladstone In February, this marked a fresh course for the squad. Nonetheless, Waugh remained with the team throughout the draft and helped out as they chose Travis Hunter along with eight additional players.
But Gladstone has reshuffled the front office Toward the team's new vision, implementing multiple additions and deletions.
Now, Waugh goes back to the organization where he previously served as the vice president of player personnel before his tenure with the Jaguars began.
